Dr. Nicole Heinrich, DVM, DACVD
Owner Dr. Heinrich received her Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2003, and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2007. Dr. Heinrich completed a rotating surgery and medicine internship at VCA Aurora/Berwyn in 2008 and started a dermatology residency that same year. She became board certified in dermatology in 2012. Dr. Heinrich is credentialed in stem cell therapy. She has diagnosed and treated more than 6,000 dogs, cats, and horses with skin and ear diseases. She is a contributing author for two textbooks under publication: Clinical Small Animal Internal Medicine and Color Handbook of Skin Diseases of the Dog and Cat, 3rd ed. |
Dr. Rendina Mc Fadden, DVM, DACVD
Dr. McFadden joined the McKeever Dermatology team in 2014 to pursue a three-year dermatology residency training program. Prior to starting a residency, Dr. McFadden worked at a busy north metro small animal general practice for 9 years where she did everything from managing diabetic patients to tooth extractions. She achieved Diplomat status with the American College of Veterinary Dermatology in 2017. Dr. McFadden has a BA from Luther College and a veterinary degree from the University of Minnesota. She is a member of the American Academy of Veterinary Dermatology as well as the state and national Veterinary Medical Associations. Dr. McFadden especially enjoys working with patients whose skin problems have significantly impacted their life or those of their families. When not in the office, Dr. McFadden enjoys spending time with her husband, two children, two big dogs, and one very pampered kitty. |
Dr. Lucy Tongen, DVM
Dr. Lucy Tongen obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree from Gustavus Adolphus College and went on to attend the University of Minnesota for veterinary school. After graduation, Dr. Tongen moved to Portland, Oregon, where she worked as a veterinarian in general practice for 5 years. During this time she developed an interest in dermatology, which ultimately led her to pursue a veterinary dermatology residency. Dr. Tongen is excited to be part of the team at McKeever Dermatology. She is Fear Free Certified and a Cat Friendly Veterinarian. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her cat, Stripes, and husband, making and eating good food, and spending time outdoors. |
Dr. Geishly Ann Cruz Matos, DVM
Dr. Cruz Matos was born and raised in Puerto Rico and received her bachelor's degree in Veterinary technology from the University of Puerto Rico, Medical Science Campus in 2010. She continued on to receive her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Tuskegee University in 2020. Then she completed a small animal rotating internship at Blue Pearl Veterinary Specialists in Georgia. After finishing that rigorous program, she began to work as an emergency relief doctor. until pursuing a residency in dermatology. Dr. Cruz is so grateful to start a three-year residency program at McKeever Dermatology Clinics and to be part of the management of dermatology disease in order to achieve a better quality of life. She is excited to be there for you and your pet including the Hispanic community. Even though she likes every aspect of dermatology, she has a particular interest in atopic dermatitis, and immune-mediated diseases. In her free time, she enjoys being with her dog Oxumnare, chasing sunsets, listening to good music and drawing. |
